The part most firms bury
What the vendors pay us, and what we do with it.
When we move your spend, the receiving vendor pays us. That is a real conflict of interest and pretending otherwise would be worse than the conflict.
So we split it by whether you can check our work.
Verifiable categories. Card processing, telecom, energy, property tax, marketing. You can read the result on your own statement. We keep the vendor payment and show you exactly what it was.
Categories you cannot check. Payroll and benefits, lending. We credit every dollar we receive against your fee.
Insurance. Flagged during the review only. We do not place it and we take nothing for it.
Eventually, and separately
Transaction work, if the day comes.
Owners who run this for a few years tend to arrive somewhere: clean books, current evidence, a defensible number, and existing relationships with the people who might buy. If a purchase or a sale follows from that, we handle it, and it is priced separately from everything above.

Flat bands, never a percentage of the value we calculated. A fee that moves with the number would make the number worthless as evidence, which is the same reason the quarterly fee does not move with it either.
